Begin the day with breakfast at the camp before setting out to explore the fascinating rock formations and natural sculptures that make the White Desert so distinctive. After the visit, return by car and head back to Cairo, arriving around midday.
You’ll want to bring light, breathable clothing for the daytime, as well as warm layers for the cooler desert nights. And don’t forget your swimsuits!
Yes, meals are included in the itinerary. Lunch is served upon arrival at El-Heiz village, and a BBQ dinner is prepared at the campsite. Breakfast is provided at the camp on Day 2. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance.
Yes, sandboarding is included in the trip! You don’t need any prior experience—our guides will provide basic instructions, and it’s a fun, beginner-friendly activity.
No need to bring any camping gear. We provide all the essentials, including tents, sleeping bags, and other necessary equipment to ensure a comfortable stay at the campsite.
Facilities are basic in the desert. But restrooms may not be provided at all campsites due to the remote location. We recommend bringing wipes for freshening up.
Camping in the desert is safe, and our team takes all necessary precautions. Our guides are experienced, and the camp is set up in designated safe areas.
Our guides are trained in basic first aid and carry communication devices. For any emergencies, there are protocols in place, and nearby towns have medical facilities.
We practice “Leave No Trace” principles, ensuring all waste is packed up and properly disposed of to keep the desert environment pristine. We encourage all travelers to do the same by minimizing plastic use and using reusable containers when possible.
Cell phone service can be very limited or nonexistent in certain areas of the White and Black Deserts. It’s best to inform loved ones of limited communication while on this trip.
